When I have anxiety attakcs all of this happens and then I start to cry and I can’t stop and then I’m hyperventilating and it feels like I’m going to drown in my own tears. If you use this term to describe anxiety in terms of nervousness for something like ‘im having an anxiety attack because i have a test next period’ then fuck you. THis is not the same as being nervous and I know far too many people that think it is. ((This. Thisthisthis. You’re not having an anxiety attack if you’re only a little worried. It makes me feel bad about myself when people throw around the term. It feels like you are dying. Dying. Your heart beat gets jacked up, you can’t breathe, you cry, you feel like you’re going to throw up. It’s crippling and is not something that you should use to describe mild feelings. Rant over)) I shake and pass out and throw up and cry and have hot and cold flashes. I lose control of my muscles. I stop breathing correctly. It is terrifying. Please never say you are having an anxiety attack because you are nervous and have butterflies before a quiz. Like no.
